Town's first team began their pre-season programme with a 1-0 loss against AaB Aalborg in Frederikshavn this evening. Town were always the second best side, although the match was lost early on when Martijn Reuser volleyed a cross past Andy Marshall.

Coach Tony Mowbray says Town will aim to play football the right way as they seek to climb out of Division One at the first attempt. Mowbray has been in charge of pre-season training at the Royal Hospital School, Holbrook this week while George Burley has been on holiday.

Tommy Miller got into pre-season training today, one day late, after returning from holiday. A number of Town players had already booked family holidays for late June before manager George Burley decided that pre-season training would start early this year.
